DEER TICK adds Matt Vasquez to NYC show, European Dates

The boys in Deer Tick will begin their first tour in support of their new album, The Black Dirt Sessions on July 16 in their hometown of Providence at Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel. It will be the beginning of a long stretch with a stop at Lollapalooza and dates with the likes of Jonny Corndawg, These United States, Wye Oak, some with new labelmates Mountain Man and a long run with Dead Confederate
Fans in Baltimore are in for a treat as Dawes will be on the bill that night. In case you didn’t know, Dawes members and brothers Taylor and Griffin Goldsmith are in MG&V with John. Now, we don’t like to speculate, but you never know what could happen.
Speaking of us not liking to speculate, Brooklyn Vegan reported today that Delta Spirit frontman and final piece in the MG&V puzzle Matt “Stachquez” Vasquez will be opening the Webster Hall show on August 13th(which is also a Friday kids).
According to Brooklyn Vegan, this show is one “not to be missed” because of “the fact that Matt and Deer Tick frontman John McCauley are almost certain to collaborate on stage.” Now, WE didn’t say it, but we also DIDN’T say it. Have to leave some things to your wandering imaginations.
